TORRES VEDRAS, PORTUGAL — Torreense have announced the signing of Dutch midfielder Inge Konst on a one-year deal, strengthening their midfield ahead of the 2025–26 Liga BPI season. The move comes on the back of an outstanding time at Racing Power FC, where the 24-year-old was named Second Midfielder of the Year for the 2023–24 season and reached the final of the national cup.

From college star to rising pro

Before turning heads in Portugal, Konst built her reputation in the United States college system, starring for the University of Louisiana Monroe (ULM). In her final season with the Warhawks, she tallied eight goals and three assists, earning First Team All-Sun Belt Conference honors and setting school records for penalty goals and total points. Her ability to control tempo and deliver in high-pressure moments was evident early in the 2022 season, when she recorded a hat trick in the opening match and was later named the Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week. Over three seasons at ULM, Konst amassed 20 goals and 13 assists, placing her among the program’s all-time leaders and solidifying her reputation as one of the most impactful midfielders in the conference.

Breakthrough at Racing Power

Konst signed with Racing Power FC in January 2024 and wasted no time adjusting to the demands of Portugal’s top division. In just half a season, she became a key figure in the club’s midfield, making 12 league appearances and contributing to the team’s run to the Portuguese Cup final. Her performances earned widespread praise, particularly for her versatility and set-piece prowess. She scored crucial goals, including one in the cup final played in front of a crowd of over 18,000 fans — a moment she later described as “unforgettable.” At the end of the season, she was voted Second Midfielder of the Year by Racing Power supporters, a notable accolade considering her short time with the team.

Eyes on the Future

Now with Torreense, Konst is expected to play a central role as the club looks to build on a solid 2024–25 campaign. With her combination of international experience, tactical intelligence, and leadership qualities, she adds depth and ambition to a side eager to push further up the Liga BPI table. “I’m excited for this new chapter,” Konst said in a statement. “Torreense is a club with great ambition and I’m ready to give everything on the pitch.” Torreense’s pre-season preparations are already underway, and Konst is set to make her debut when the new campaign gets underway in August.
