AS Monaco Women’s Football has confirmed the signing of Ramsey Davis on a one‑year contract as they ramp up their ambition to climb the French pyramid. The winger arrives with collegiate pedigree in the U.S. and European experience from her recent stint at RC Lens. Her move also coincides with Monaco’s announcement of a strategic new investment from DCB Sports, signaling an evolution in the club’s approach to women’s football.
College career
Ramsey Davis began her NCAA journey at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), arriving early as a freshman and quickly making her mark. Across three seasons from 2020 to 2022, she featured in 56 matches (39 starts), totaling 3,029 minutes on the field. In that time she tallied 7 goals and 7 assists, amassing 21 points. In 2023, Davis transferred to the University of Houston for her graduate year. She appeared in all 17 matches, starting 10 times and contributed 2 goals, including a game‑winner early in the season, earning CSC Academic All‑District honours along the way.
From Houston to Lens
In January 2025, Ramsey Davis signed with Racing Club de Lens, joining the side competing in D2 Féminine. Lens were the league leaders at the time, having accrued 23 points from 10 games. Davis became RC Lens Féminin’s first-ever American player, praised by coach Sarah M’Barek as a dynamic, athletic winger with strong work ethic and cultural commitment to the team’s values .
AS Monaco & DCB Sports
Now Davis makes the step to AS Monaco Women’s Football, joining on a one‑year contract ahead of their upcoming season. While official details are yet to be released, the timing aligns with Monaco’s broader strategic developments. On June 28, 2025, Monaco revealed a major new partnership with DCB Sports, a California‑based sports investment firm led by founder Gary LaDrido. DCB will allocate a steadily increasing budget over the next ten years to support Monaco’s women’s program. Objectives include bolstering youth and coach development, upgrading infrastructure, increasing media visibility, and accelerating the professionalization of the club and athletes, with the ultimate goal of promotion to the L’Arkema Premiere Ligue.
